Six foot square fiberglass curtain for spark containment
Sparks from a cutting torch can travel across a shop and settle into a cardboard pile or a parked truck seat. This blanket is a 6 by 6 foot sheet of 16 oz plain weave fiberglass, coated on both sides with a fire retardant acrylic. The coating stands up to slag, sparks and incidental flame from cutting torches, and its bright color stays easy to see on a busy floor.
You will get the most out of it hung vertically. Clip it to a frame or rail as a welding curtain to hold spray and sparks inside your bay, or drape it over equipment and walls next to the work as a heat shield.
