Small leather bib for the gap below your helmet
Spatter finds the open strip of skin under a welding helmet faster than anywhere else. This bib is a single piece of leather, 5 inches long and 10 inches wide, cut to cover that strip at your throat while you run a bead overhead. We make it in the United States, and leather is the point: it shrugs off the small hot balls that would melt through a cotton collar.
There are no sizes or options to sort through here. You fit it where your helmet leaves your neck uncovered and check it the way you check gloves, looking for burn holes and stiff, cracked spots. When the leather has worn thin or holed through, you replace it rather than patch it, and your jacket collar stays the second layer rather than the first.
The Leather Welding Bib is on the Welding blankets shelf of the Sellstrom range.
