Sellstrom Fiberglass Welding Blanket, 6 x 5 ft

Sparks from a cutoff wheel travel farther than most people expect, and they settle on whatever lies flat below the work. This 6 by 5 foot blanket is woven fiberglass rated for 1,000°F in continuous service. We hem all four edges with Kevlar thread and set brass grommets at the corners and at the 36 inch center, so you can tie it down or hang it to dry after a wash.

Lay it horizontally over a bench, a pallet or a concrete floor when you are chipping, grinding, heat treating, sandblasting or doing light flat welding. It is built for light to moderate exposure, not for catching heavy molten drops from overhead cutting. The fabric resists chemicals and goes through a washing machine, and it rolls into a blue vinyl bag with a handle between jobs.
