DP4 shield in clear, Shade 3 or Shade 5

Out of the box, the DP4 is ready for the grinder. We ship it fully assembled: a light, high impact crown on ratchet headgear with a twist knob for height and fit, and a wraparound polycarbonate window with an anti-fog coating that helps when your breath warms the inside. The window covers your face and eyes against chemical splashes, flying debris and 99% of UV. Peel the film off both sides and it is ready.

Your choice comes down to the window. Clear suits grinding, chipping and mixing, and the clear version also comes with a chin guard if sparks and splash reach your neck. Shade 3 IR and Shade 5 IR windows are for brazing, gas welding, oxygen cutting and glare, never electric arc welding. With any of them, you keep safety glasses on under the shield.

  • Assembled and ready

The shield arrives on its headgear, and you only peel the protective film from both sides of the window.
  • Anti-fog window

The polycarbonate window carries an anti-fog coating that helps keep your view clear as you work.
  • Twist knob headgear

Ratchet suspension with a twist knob sets the height and fit for most heads.

Before you start

IR tinted windows, visors and lenses are for torch work: brazing, gas welding and oxygen cutting. They are not a filter for an electric arc, where the OSHA table starts at Shade 7.
