Galaxy helmet shell and headgear, filter not included

Some welders already own the auto-darkening filter they like and only need a shell to put it in. The Galaxy is that shell: a blue helmet with a sleek, light build, shaped to sit balanced on your head, and assembled with headgear that adjusts in several directions. The box holds the helmet and headgear only, sized around a 90 by 110 mm filter opening.

You add the auto-darkening filter and the cover plate yourself, and both install without fuss. That suits you if you are moving a filter from a worn helmet, or if you want to pick the filter separately for your mix of MIG, stick and TIG work. Set the headgear first, then fit the filter, then the cover plate in front of it. Part S41340.
