Clear full face shield, bound or unbound

A bench grinder, a lathe or a router throws chips at face height, and safety glasses cover only your eyes. This shield puts a clear, uncoated polycarbonate window in front of your whole face and the front of your head, on a crown with ratchet headgear. Turn the knob to size the band, and the window locks in the up or the down position on its detents, so it stays where you put it.

Choose the Aluminum Binding version when impacts are heavy, since the metal edge reinforces the window rim. The Unbound version keeps the window lighter and gives a clear edge to your view. Both arrive assembled: peel the protective film from each side and mount the window on the crown. The crown's universal bracket pin pattern takes other windows later. Keep your safety glasses on underneath.

  • Locking detents

Built in detents hold the window in the up or the down position while you work.
  • Twist knob ratchet

The ratchet headgear adjusts with a twist knob, and a washable sweatband keeps sweat out of your eyes.
  • Universal pin pattern

The crown has a universal bracket pin pattern, so it accepts several types of replacement window.

Before you start

A face shield goes over safety glasses or goggles, never instead of them. OSHA's guide says a shield alone does not stop an impact, and a pitted or scratched window is the cue to replace it.
