Windows for the 390 crown in three tints

A window gets the scratches and the chemical spots so your face does not, and sooner or later it is time for a new one. These windows drop onto our 390 Series crown, whose attachment pattern belongs to that crown alone, so the headgear you already wear stays put. Assembled on a 390 shield, they are marked to ANSI Z87+ and CSA Z94.3. Peel the protective film off both sides before you use one.

Pick the tint for your work. Clear suits grinding, chipping and splash jobs, and only clear comes with our Sta-Clear anti-fog coating. Dark green cuts glare from bright light. Shade 5 IR is for torch work, such as oxygen cutting and brazing, never for electric arc welding. Then match the size to your shield: 8 by 12 inches or 8 by 16 inches, 0.040 inch thick. Keep wearing your safety glasses underneath.

  • 390 crown pattern

The hole pattern matches the 390 Series crown, so a new window goes onto the shield you already own.
  • Splash and scratches

The window takes chemical splash, particles and flying debris in front of your face during grinding and cutting.
  • Peel before use

Each window ships with plastic film on both sides that comes off before you mount it.

Before you start

IR tinted windows, visors and lenses are for torch work: brazing, gas welding and oxygen cutting. They are not a filter for an electric arc, where the OSHA table starts at Shade 7.
