V-shaped clear window with a universal hole pattern

A flat window leaves a gap at each cheek, and a V-shaped one closes it. This clear polycarbonate window bends to follow the line of your face and takes particles, flying chips and splashes before they reach your glasses. It is 15 inches wide, 9 inches tall and 0.060 inch thick, and it comes uncoated.

We drill it with a universal hole pattern. It fits our 301 Series crowns and many crowns from other makers, so you can keep the headgear you already wear and replace only the scratched window. Line the holes up with the crown pins, seat the window evenly, and make sure it clears your chin before you start the grinder. It is marked to ANSI Z87+ and CSA Z94.3.

Before you start

A face shield goes over safety glasses or goggles, never instead of them. OSHA's guide says a shield alone does not stop an impact, and a pitted or scratched window is the cue to replace it.
