Sellstrom Super Tuff Fixed Front Welding Helmet, Black

Nothing on this helmet needs a battery. It is a passive shell molded from our Super Tuff nylon, a tough thermoplastic that stays light on your neck over a full shift, and it reaches down past the chin and back over the head to catch spatter and infrared heat. We make it in the United States and ship it already on ratchet headgear, so the first job is turning the knob until the fit feels right on you.

The fixed front takes a standard size filter plate and cover plate, which you buy separately in the shade your process calls for. That keeps the choice in your hands: one shade for stick work, another for a different rod, and a stack of cheap cover plates for the bench. The black helmet is part S29901 and is marked to ANSI Z87.1.
