Ratchet headgear for WHM2000 and WHP4000 helmets
Headgear wears out before the helmet does. Sweat stiffens the band, the ratchet starts to slip, and your auto-darkening helmet drifts down every time you nod at the work. This black ratchet suspension, part S27006, replaces the headgear on two of our helmet lines: the WHM2000 Advantage Plus and the WHP4000 Premium Series. You push and turn the knob to tighten it, and the ratchet holds there instead of backing off as you move.
A lower ratchet strap cups the back of your head under the crown, which takes weight off your forehead and keeps the helmet steady when you look up at an overhead joint. To fit it, you unclip the old headgear from the helmet shell, clip this one into the same points, then set the crown strap and knob before you strike an arc.
