Variable shade cartridge for your WHP4000 helmet

If the filter in your WHP4000 Premium Series helmet has cracked or stopped switching, you can replace the cartridge and keep the shell and headgear. This variable auto darkening filter runs on solar power backed by a battery. Four independent sensors sit across the front, placed so a hand, a clamp or a pipe edge is less likely to block all of them at once. It is marked to ANSI Z87.1.

You set it from digital controls. Choose the dark shade for the process and amperage you are running, then adjust sensitivity so the filter reacts to your arc and not to shop lights or a neighbor's booth. Delay sets how long it stays dark after the arc stops. A weld and grind control lets you switch to grinding without taking the helmet off.
