A coating for the jobs that cloud a lens

Fog forms when warm, damp air meets a cooler lens: you walk from a cold yard into a warm shop, you breathe hard behind a face shield, you sweat under goggles. An anti-fog coating spreads that moisture into a film you can still see through, so you do not lift the glasses off your face to wipe them. It helps against fog. It does not make a lens fog-proof.

Every product on this page has an anti-fog lens or window named in its own data: safety glasses such as the XP450 and XP410, sealed and soft goggles, and anti-fog windows for DP4, 380 and 390 crowns. Clean a coated lens with water or a lens cleaner rather than a dry rag, which wears the coating.

Questions

Anti-fog: what people ask

Will a Sellstrom anti-fog coating keep your lens from ever fogging?

No coating does. Anti-fog helps against fogging so you can keep working, and it lasts longer when you clean the lens with water or a lens cleaner instead of a dry rag.

Which Sellstrom products come with anti-fog lenses?

Every product on this page names an anti-fog lens or window in its own data: safety glasses, goggles and face shield windows.
